"Just six short months ago, Samara was not speaking at all. However, by utilizing play therapy and targeting specific goals designed to help her achieve the steps to normal language development, along with excellent family support, Samara is now, “talking up a storm.” She is now able to make her wants and needs known, make comments, ask questions, follow directions, and participate in conversations with family and friends. In fact, just recently at dinner time, Samara was talking so much and giving no one else a chance to get a word in that her father commented, “I think it’s time to fire her speech therapist!”  Keep it up, Samara!"

The Benefits of Speech Therapy

In this modern day world, to speak and communicate effectively are imperative for growth and success. Some of us are born with speech delays or impairments and some of us encounter feeding or oral function difficulties. Regardless of which circumstance applies to your child, speech language pathologists acquire the necessary skills to develop or re-develop your child's impairments.

Our Speech Therapy Services Include:

Free Screenings

Speech Techniques offers free speech and language screenings to determine if a child is developing speech and language skills at an age appropriate rate.

Duration: 10-15 minutes

A speech and language evaluation assesses a child's speech, language, and communication abilities. This can also include oral motor, fluency, pragmatic, feeding/swallowing, and/or vocal quality assessments. Various testing procedures are used during an evaluation, including: parent interview, record review, clinical observation, standardized testing, and play-based assessment.

Duration: 1 hour
